Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the country, and Fort Bend County is the most diverse county in Texas, third in the nation. Hope For Three reflects our county serving, on average, 78% male and 22% female, and the following ethnicities through our main programs, Family Assistance and Resource Support (FARS):
- Asian – 26%
- Black or African American – 30%
- Hispanic or Latino – 24%
- Middle Eastern – 1%
- Interracial -7%
- White – 12%
But being diverse isn’t enough; Hope For Three strives to be equitable and inclusive.
Hope For Three denounces all acts of racial discrimination and hatred. As an autism advocacy and awareness organization, we continue to treat and serve all individuals who encounter Hope For Three equally and with dignity. The Board and staff stand firm in our mission to “Walk alongside and support families on their autism journey,” regardless of race, creed, culture, religion, or economic status.
Autism families often experience discrimination because they are different. Hence, our various awareness and outreach campaigns to educate, empower, and call to action the community to accept, understand, and include but to be the difference.
As Hope For Three continues to provide help and create hope for families with autistic loved ones, we strive to remain a valued partner in all communities, a catalyst for autism awareness and advocacy, and a beacon of hope.
