A Story of Growth, Resilience, and the Power of Community Support

Every child’s autism journey is unique, filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and countless moments of joy.

Hope For Three is honored to walk alongside families as they navigate this path. Today, we’re catching up with one of our shining stars: Max Alexander.

From diagnosis to today, Max was only two years old when he was diagnosed with autism. For his mom, Rachel, those early days were filled with uncertainty and questions about how best to support him.

Fast forward to today, and Max is a thriving 13-year-old who fills his family’s life with joy. “Max is a very loving and happy boy,” Rachel shares. “He’s come so far over the years and is truly a blessing to me every day.”

The power of support: Rachel credits much of Max’s progress to the guidance and encouragement she received through Hope For Three. “Stories like Max’s remind us why community is important. It’s not just about therapy sessions or programs; it’s about feeling you’re not alone,” Rachel shared.

Max’s World: Like many kids, Max has various passions that brighten his days.

  • Coding – exploring technology and creating new things
  • Baseball – enjoying the game and being part of a team
  • Trampolining & Swings – finding joy and movement in simple pleasures
  • Lego & Hammock Time – building worlds of imagination or relaxing in his cozy space

While social interaction hasn’t always been easy for Max, Rachel says, “that when he does connect with others, it’s with a heart full of love and kindness.”

As Max enters his teenage years, his journey continues to unfold with promise. His happiness, resilience, and curiosity are guiding lights for his family, and for all of us at Hope For Three.

We are so proud to have played a part in Max’s story and can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings. 💙
