Mateo Esparza

Hope For Three is incredibly excited to announce and introduce Mateo Esparza as our April Autism All-Star!

Mateo is an amazing 13-year-old who was diagnosed with autism at the young age of three.  Mateo is currently a student at Miller Intermediate. While he is semi-verbal, he displays a keen interest and aptitude for digital devices.

Mateo’s extraordinary personality shines through his love for music, dancing, bubbles, baths, and eating. He is known for his boundless energy and heartwarming cuddles, especially his cherished morning hugs. Mateo finds joy in simple pleasures such as riding the bus, going on car rides, and indulging in his favorite treat, French fries.

Mateo’s journey is a testament to his “never-give-up” attitude. Even though it can be challenging for him to communicate his wants and needs fully, Mateo always tries his best. He wants to be more independent, especially in dressing himself, and is always eager to learn and grow.

Mateo’s unwavering determination and daily commitment to trying his best and diligently following instructions make him a true role model. One of Mateo’s outstanding qualities is his strong sense of safety. He consistently buckles his seatbelt in the car and has recently achieved the milestone of buckling it on his own.

Mateo’s sweetness and innate coolness make him a truly exceptional individual. He is a shining example of the incredible potential within every child on the spectrum. Hope For Three is honored to recognize Mateo’s achievements and celebrate his unique spirit – making him a remarkable Autism All-Star during April, Autism Awareness, Acceptance, and Action Month.
