Hope For Three is honored to introduce our September Autism Superhero, Emmanuel Arowolo!
Emmanuel is a father whose boundless determination and loving heart have set him apart as an Autism Superhero. When his 10-year-old daughter received her diagnosis of moderate to severe autism spectrum disorder at three years old, Emmanuel faced an incredibly challenging time. The journey was filled with uncertainty and heartache, especially watching his daughter struggle to form connections and friendships despite her efforts.
In response to these challenges, Emmanuel’s spirit shone brightly. Seeing a need for more support for fathers in similar situations, he teamed up with two other fathers to create the Autism Dads Social Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to filling this critical gap. Unlike many groups focused primarily on mothers, Autism Dads Social Club provides a unique space for fathers and male caregivers in Greater Houston to connect, share their experiences, and offer support. Emmanuel’s vision was to build a community where fathers could bond over social activities like coffee outings, golf, and fishing while helping each other navigate the journey of raising autistic children.
Through the Autism Dads Social Club, Emmanuel is fostering a support network and creating enriching opportunities for his daughter and others. The group’s activities, from playdates to group events, are designed to nurture social skills and build lasting friendships. Emmanuel’s warm-hearted approach and commitment to his fellow fathers, caregivers, and children with autism reflect his deep love and dedication. His efforts truly make him a cherished Superhero in the autism community, bringing light and connection to those around him.
