3rd Annual Car Wash for Kids plans are underway! Click Here for Sponsorship opportunities!
Chase Bank employees and students from local area high schools turned suds and shine into support as they hosted the second annual CAR WASH FOR KIDS!
On 3/20/2013, it was announced “1 in 50 school age children have autism”. Support for families living with autism is needed now more than ever. Over 70 students from 5 different high schools came out to support the event. We washed over 72 cars and raised $1,400! Funds will be used to provide therapies and services for autistic children; life-changing treatments they might go without, due to the high cost and lack of insurance coverage.
The event, organized by teen volunteers, Kirsten Overgaard, Regan Hermes and Allison Bellman, is part of “It’s Cool to Care”; a county-wide awareness campaign to empower and enable youth to make a positive contribution to the lives of other young people with unique abilities – autism.
This year we went green! Eco-Touch Premium Car Care is a Green America Certified Company and generously donated non-toxic bio-degradable supplies. The benefits of an eco-friendly car wash:
• saves 20 – 100 gallons of water
• non-toxic, free of chemicals, eliminates
• eliminates soapy mess and toxic runoff, preventing runoff from ending up in storm drains that flow straight to bodies of water – untreated.
On April 2nd and 10th, ORANGE LEAF FROZEN YOGURT (4767 Sweetwater Blvd.) donated a portion of all sales to Hope for Three! Your support helped fund therapies for children living with autism.
